I first started noticing Natalie Tong while
watching her in Love Bond as the cute little sister, Lam Siu Wu. Natalie was
cute and very emotional towards her family and even though her crying scenes
were not the best I still felt that she was one of the best of the new comers
I'd seen for a while. After watching Love Bond I rented Just Love, watching
Natalie once again, her character was just so adorable! Though her storyline was
slightly unrealistic, her chemistry and love with older actor, Dave Wong was
evident. After two series I was desperate to see more of this girl, so I rented
her next series, Food for Life. Though her character was small I loved her
little scenes with Ben Yeo.
After watching three series in a row I
just had to find out more about her! I found her name in a review for Love Bond,
unfortunately the reviewer made a mistake and called her "Natalie Wong" ... So I
wandered around the internet scratching for a "Natalie Wong", all I got was this
other TVB actress. It was a few days later that I found out her name was Natalie
TONG! There was already an AsianFanatics topic for her and I browsed through it,
adding my own comments to the post, but there was just too little news and
topics to talk about.
Then I went to the AF Gallery and there
weren't many pictures there, why isn't there anything on this actress? So I
decided to create a website for her, collecting as much information and pictures
as I could I first hosted my website on freewebs, dubbing the site "Natalie
Avenue".
After a few months I emailed Ales and
borrowed some space from her domain. After switching hosts I renamed the site
"Natalie Tong Network". Even though Ales was a terrific host and I rarely got
any problems with her, but the site did go down a few times because my host's
host was being changed or something else. I just felt as if I couldn't relate to
some one who had their personal site with my fansite, it's like... We have
different ways of looking at our hosts and to us - different things are
important. I hadn't even thought of changing host until I visited
SimplyKenix.net and saw that they were giving free hosting. Then it took me
around two days to think it through, did I really want to be hosted by some one
different? Would anything change?
What really
stopped me was the URL problem, everytime I change my URL I have to go to ALL my
affiliates and ALL my top affiliates and remind them what the new link was,
really bothersome >_< ~ ! ... But in the end I decided to change, I mean, why
not? My website would probably be able to live longer this way? I'm hoping
anyway! So that brings us to the present... Thanks for hosting me Sus!
